About Head Hunter Sun Cream

In 1989, brothers and longtime surfers Doug and Drew Littlemore of La Jolla, California, launched Headhunter. “We were working as boatmen at Tavarua (Fiji’s legendary surf resort) and spending everyday in the water, just getting beat by the sun,” says Doug. “The sunscreens at the time weren’t up to the task of all-day sessions in the tropical sun. They just wouldn’t stay on. And we figured that was the key. There are plenty of sunscreens with the same effective ingredients, but what was the point if they washed off duck-diving the first clean-up set?”

With constant input from pro surfers, lifeguards, and surf schools, Headhunter are constantly tweaking their formulations to deliver the best ‘waveproof’ sunscreens in the lineup.
