neil godden - 11/30/2008  Really well made bit of kit. Although you can't see it in the picture the hood has a collar which will overlap the neck of your wetsuit and help to stop water getting. The hood is thick though (3mm) and feels a bit restrictive at first. But I guess thats the price you have to pay to keep warm and ward off those 'ice cream headaches'. Pretty sure every other hood on the market is going to feel the same. The vest is really warm and I was able to stay out on the water much longer today. I even put the hood down for a while as i was getting a bit too warm... ishtiaq ahmed - 10/11/2008  I needed a hood for my winter surfing - i went for this hooded vest as the sleeveless design mde it easy to put on under my wetsuit and also it made the neck closure on my wetsuit even more snug resulting in no water going down my neck. Its October UK and I actually felt a bit too warm when i had the hood up, so am looking forward to trying it out in colder weather. With the hood down it actually gave me a snug waterproof 'scarf' around my neck
